Tammy Reeder, an eighth grade science teacher at the school returned home from Vanderbilt’s Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital in Nashville this week after a lengthy stay following surgery to remove a tumor from her spinal column. She is temporarily paralyzed from her waist down, and is receiving intense physical and occupational therapy.
Reeder’s colleagues say she is determined to walk again, and are selling t-shirts to support her recovery. The shirts (pictured) cost $10 for standard sizes, $12 for XXL, and come in two styles: red and blue on gray and black on gray.
Anyone wishing to purchase a shirt can order one at the middle school’s office or contact Deb Waddell at debra.waddell@adair.kyschools.us
