Stephen “C.J.” Phillips of Liberty, KY passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was 26.
Born February 16, 1990 in Marion County, KY, he is the son of Stephen C. and Melissa Glover Phillips of Liberty. He was self-employed and member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, April Wolfinbarger Phillips of Liberty, whom he married June 15, 2013; a son, Jasper Phillips of Liberty; three daughters, Nevaeh, Kaylee, and Raylee Phillips all at home; a brother, Jerry Peavey of Liberty; two sisters, Stephanie (and Aaron) Vaughn and Jodi (and Jason) Blevins both of Liberty; maternal grandparents, Truman and Donna Glover of Liberty; and paternal grandmother, Hazel Phillips of Liberty.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Calvin Phillips.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. J. R. Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Thursday from 8:00-11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
