She was born Amanda Shea Young on September 8, 1969 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Thomas R. Young and Judy Brown Young. Shea was self-employed as a medical transcriptionist since 1998, a homemaker, wonderful mother, faithful wife, and a faithful member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church where she consistently served in the LIFE Group ministry, loved leading VBS each year, and was a humble pastor’s wife for nearly 25 years.
She is survived by her mother Judy Brown Young; husband, Timothy D. Turner; two wonderful children, Haylie Danielle Turner (fiancé Daniel Reeves), and Jacob Trent Turner; brother, Stan Young (Stephanie); nieces, Maddox Young, and Brookelyn Young; Sister in law, Phyllis Rollan (Robert); nephew, Tyler Rollan (Jess); niece Ansley Etheridge (Aaron); brother-in-law David Turner (Leigh Ann); nephews, Darrick Turner (Leah) and Luke Turner; niece Amelia Turner, and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
For memorial contributions, the family has designated Porter Memorial Baptist Church (new property fund), and/or Hospice of the Bluegrass to whom both ministered well to Shea.
Local funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington. Visitation at the church will begin that morning at 10 a.m.
Visitation at the New Lebanon Baptist Church in Springville, Alabama will be from 1 to 3 p.m. (Central Time) on Monday, June 13th followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
