Phillip “Dooley” Lane

Phillip “Dooley” Lane, of Hustonville, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at Russell County Hospital. He was 68.

Born on January 15, 1952, in Stanford, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Orval and Nannie Gillock Lane. Dooley was a backhoe operator for Lane Construction. He enjoyed building things, mechanics, and fishing. He was a member of Church of the Firstborn.

He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Brian) Oney of Russell Springs and Sonya Morgan of Florida; two sons, Phillip (Jamie) Lane and Robert (Melissa) Lane, both of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Other survivors include three sisters, Sharon (Donald) Elmore of Liberty, Deanna (Brad) Brock of Hustonville, and Charlotte (Kim) Brown of Liberty; and five brothers, Larry (Carol) Lane of Hustonville, Willis Lane of Hustonville, Marvin (Jan) Lane of Hustonville, Roy Lane of Liberty, and Marshall (Tina) Lane of Liberty.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Nannette Elmore; and a nephew, Billy Lane.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin Oney officiating. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
