Linda McCarthy, age 54, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her residence.
Linda was born on July 24, 1961 in Somerset, KY to Gracie Adkins Whitaker and the late Curtis Whitaker. She loved to crochet, sewing and most crafts.
She is survived by her mother, Gracie Whitaker of Somerset; her husband, John McCarthy of Somerset, whom she married on June 26, 1985 in Brownsburg, Ind.; four children, Stacy McCarthy of Falmouth, KY, Kimberly Anne McCarthy of Somerset, Jonathan McCarthy of FL and Chasity McCarthy of FL; and two grandchildren, Arianna McCarthy and Aiden Ice.
Along with her father, Curtis Whitaker, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Whitaker.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00am at Clifty Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Bullock officiating. Burial will be at Whitaker Cemetery in Somerset.
