
Kenneth served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945 as a rifleman, receiving the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon with one Bronze Service Star. He was a life member of Burkesville VFW Post 5419.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Pearl Key Spears, and five siblings, Ocie Keen, Lucille Capps, Lena Gray, Myrtle Rowe, and Inis Severe.

Two Sons- Joseph K Spears of Indianapolis, IN and Wayne R. Spears and his wife Sharon of Peytonsburg, KY
Three Sisters- Ella Severe of Burkesville, KY, Lyda Jones of Celina, TN, and Selma Engle of Indianapolis, IN
Three Brothers- Franklin Spears, and Billy Spears both of Burkesville, KY and Arnold Spears of Avon, IN

Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Spears Cemetery with military honors.
Family requests visitation on Friday, June 17, 2016 after 12 Noon at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.
