
Born April 11, 1939 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lora Whited Woodrum. She was a housewife and farmer. Jewell loved to cook, talk to her friends, and feed everyone.
Survivors include a son, Chris Coleman of Liberty; daughter, Karen (and Nathan) Slone of Liberty; two grandchildren; Devin Coleman and Channer Slone; two sisters, Irene Roberts and Ernestine (and Larry) Thomas both of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Faye Woodrum; and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie Coleman, who passed away January 17, 2000; and a brother, Gerald Woodrum.
Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 29, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Mrs. Jewell Coleman will be laid to rest in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral service.
Pallbearers are Randy Dalton, Donnie Hatter, Kolby Slone, Leon Buck, Johnny Coleman, and Jason Slone. Honorary pallbearer is Bobby Williams.
