Jerry Baston Walker, age 75, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Jerry was born on September 1, 1940 in Eubank, KY to the late Theodore Lester Walker and Flossie Alice Baston Walker. He was a truck driver for J. B. Hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Irene May Walker, whom he married on June 17, 1961; three sons, Charles (and Barb) Walker of Somerset, KY, Phillip (and Lora) Walker of Burnside, KY and Jay (and Marilla) Walker of Seattle, WA; three daughters, Teresa (and Tim) Purdue of Denver, CO, Sara Burgess of Richmond, KY and Sandy (and John) Powers of London, KY; fifteen grandchildren, Audrey Purdue, Nathan Purdue, Alicia Walker Brown, Angela Walker, Ethan Walker, Clint Burgess, Laura Burgess, Elliott Dick, Sara Rose Walker, Erin Walker-Mullins, Ava Powers, Jack Powers, Frederick Powers, Iris Walker and Charlotte Walker; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Haylee Pitman and Griffin Mullins; and adopted family, Leon and Kathy (McKee) McGowan, Melissa and Mark Renneker and Drew Hunt.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Walker; sister-in-law, Peggy Trowbridge Walker; a son-in-law, Steve Burgess; and a nephew, Terry Walker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4:30pm until 7:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. The funeral will follow the visitation on Thursday, at 7:00pm with Bro. Prentice Hubble officiating.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
