He was born November 8, 1942 in Casey County to the late Avery & Ora Isabelle Weir McDonald. He was a Vietnam War Veteran of US Army and a member of Patterson Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, James Kendall McDonald; 2 sisters, Ruby Morris, Imogene Callaghan

Funeral service for James Carson McDonald will be 12 Noon Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Donald A. Thomas speaking.
Visitation after 10 AM. Tuesday
Interment in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.
