Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop of the Grab Community of Green County, son of the late Weldon Bishop and Carrie Frances Gentry Bishop, was born on December 28, 1954 in Green County, and departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 61 years, 2 months, and 26 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop was a lifelong farmer, a loving Husband, Daddy, and Pa.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Lillian M. Clements Bishop of Grab, having united in marriage on July 26, 1975.
Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Brittany and Ben Sullivan, April and Steven Money, Kortney and Dustin Ray all of Grab; seven grandchildren: Addi Sullivan, Gabe Sullivan, Andy Money, Harlin Money, Layla Money, Jack Money, Leighton Ray, and one grandchild on the way; a step-grandson: Levi Money; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronnie and Sharon Bishop, Joey and Karen Bishop all of Greensburg; five sisters and brothers-in-law: Margie Price, Fay and Gordon Davis, Bernice and Marcus Wisdom all of Greensburg, Charolette and Jimmy Bradley of Burkesville, Susan Jeneanne and Tom Kelly of Greensburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ila and Tim Runyon of Casey County, Verrel and Deloris Clements, and Sheila Clements all of Campbellsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral services for Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ricky Arnett and Bro. Todd Davis to officiate.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 9 P.M., Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, from 7 A.M. until 9 A.M., Monday at the funeral home and after 10 A.M., Monday at the church until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
