She was born on September 5, 1917 in Norma, TN., to the late William and Maggie Jeffers Lloyd. She was a homemaker. Her life was her family, children, grandchildren, and her church, New Bethel Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Hernald Howard Reed; a son, David Tate Reed; two daughters, Emma Sue Horton, and Mary Beth Reed; two brothers, Charles Lloyd, and James Lloyd; four sisters; Audrey Aaron, Magel Robbins, Nona Alcorn, and Illa Lawson; two grandsons; Jason Troy Latham, and Scott Reed; a granddaughter, Jennifer Susan Reed; and two great-great grandchildren, Josiah and Jonah Cotton.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2016 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Coy Cox and Bro. David Zuhars Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Irma’s grandsons.
