Born on April 28, 1928, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Flora Alice Glover Sandusky. Inez was a homemaker. She was a member of Carr’s Chapel Church of God and a former active member of the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was known for her famous chocolate pies.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda (John) Phillippe of Waynesburg; a son, Carl (Vicki) Griffith of Liberty; a sister, Loretta Murphy; and three brothers, Charles Sandusky, W.J. Sandusky and Jerry Sandusky. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Sarah Breitlander, Callie Phillippe, Ryan Griffith, Lori Denison, Cameron Griffith and Lacy Andrews; and twelve great-grandchildren, Tristan, Nicholas, Alexis, Colin, Bryson, Jackson, Killian, Anneliese, Elijah, Gage, Elsa and Kaia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Griffith; a great-grandchild, Kaiser James Breitlander; two sisters, Geraldine Sandusky and Lucille Sandusky; four brothers, Eulis “Sonny Boy” Sandusky, Howard Sandusky, Lyle Sandusky and Otis Sandusky.
The funeral service for Ms. Inez Griffith will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Cameron Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Griffith, Cameron Griffith, Bryson Johnson, Colin Kessler, Phillip Andrews, Jackson Griffith, and John Phillippe.
