Freddie Burton, 79, of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:30 P.M. at his home after an illness.
He was born November 23, 1936, in Adair County, to the late Rufus & Anna Mary Foster Burton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Evelyn Burton, three brothers, Harold, Bobby Dale & Edward Burton, and one sister, Glenna Mann. He was a very well-known and respected trainer in the horse racing industry across the country.

Three Daughters – Anita (Bobby) Webster, Marsha (Terry) Popplewell & Anna Burton (Nick Murray) all of Columbia
Three Sons – Donald Ray Burton, Joey (Alayna) Burton & Greg (Holly) Burton all of Columbia
One Brother – Roger (Lisa) Burton of Vine Grove
Two Sisters – Cathy (Harold) Lawless & Sherry (Tommy) Cook all of Columbia
23 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren & Four Great-Great-Grandchildren
