
Born June 13, 1934 in Lincoln County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mabel Sutherland Davis. She was a homemaker and of the Nazarene faith. Edith loved jewelry.
Survivors include five sons, Jerome (and Kimberly) Salyers of Liberty, David (and Ruth) Salyers of Campbellsville, Timothy Salyers of Liberty, Daril (and Frances) Salyers of Columbia, and Ricky (and Brenda) Salyers of Liberty : two daughters, Diane Salyers of Campbellsville and Vicky Byrd of Dunnville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jackie Davis of Somerset; and three sisters, Ann Chambers, Regina Lane and Sue Padgett all of Lancaster.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Salisbury; grandson, Timothy Salyers, Jr.; son-in-law, Tony Byrd; brother, William Roy Davis; and sister, Irene Clark.
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Sherman Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. until funeral service.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
