Sandy Marie Clements, age 48, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Casey County Hospital.  Born June 16, 1969, in Cincinnati, OH, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Virginia Wilson Clements.

Sandy loved hummingbirds, fishing, flowers, and gardening.

  Survivors include her sons, Robby (Rachel) Denney and Shawn Denney, both of Liberty; daughters, Holly (Tyler) Wethington and Michaela Denney, both of Liberty; brother, Franklin Dale Clements of Cincinnati, OH; 9 grandchildren; and fiancé, Gene Hartness of Liberty.

  Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sherry May Boles.

  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, April 29, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Trace Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8PM on Saturday at the funeral home.

Oba Davis age 102, of Liberty, KY passed away on Wednesday April 25th, 2018 at the Casey County Hospital. She was born in Liberty, KY on February 13th, 1916 a daughter of the late William Jasper Goode and Lena Grider Goode Cain.

Oba was the widow of Walter Thomas Davis who passed away on July 27th, 1975.

Oba was a former Seamstress at Liberty Sportswear, Staff Member of Kinfolk Treasurers for 24 years and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Five Daughters: Rose Murphy of Liberty, Ann and (James) Lynn of Liberty, Jeanie and (Jesse) Murphy of Liberty, Nancy and (Denver) Durham of Middleburg and Tommye Allen of Liberty, Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty One Great Grandchildren and Nine Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her Parents and Spouse was Four Great Grandchildren: Heather Lynn, Jason, Jessica and MacKenzie West, Three Brothers: Alfred Goode, William (Babe) Goode and Charles Cain and Two Sisters: Grace Reid and Janie Bryant. 

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. Friday April 27th, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 28th, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James M. Lynn officiating. Burial will in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Ernest Leon White age 75 of Edmonton passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Vanderbilt in Nashville.    Born in Tompkinsville he was the son of the late Ernest and Maybelle Vibbert White. 

Leon was retired from SKF industries, a member of the Edmonton Baptist Church, Edmonton Masonic Lodge #931, Edmonton Eastern Star #470 and Metcalfe County American Legion.    He was a United States Army veteran.  

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Patricia Smith White of Edmonton.  
Two sons.  Chris (Maria-AnnieMar) White and Patrick (Amanda) White all of Edmonton.   
One daughter Robyn (David) Wilson of Edmonton.  
One brother Randy Vibbert of Indiana. 
Eight grandchildren; Crystle (Jeremy) Davis, Jessica Taylor, Kristen (Jacob) White, Kelsey White, C.J. White, Holden White, Colby White, Kailee White, Tyler Hollingsworth and Camdon Johnson.  
Eight great grandchildren also survive. 

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by  his step father Bedford (Hawk) Bryant. 

Funeral services, Masonic Rites and Eastern Star services will be held 1:00 PM  Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.   Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM  Friday and after 9:00 AM  Saturday at the funeral home.

Jimmie Glen Capps, 60, husband of Brenda (Harden) Capps, passed away Wednesday, April 25th, 2018.  He was born August 8th, 1957 in Burkesville, Kentucky, son of Bebe (Sharp) Capps and Earl (Becky Rush) Capps. 

Jimmie was a retired Team Leader for Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Georgetown and he loved his Toyota family and took pride in working there.  He called himself a “hobby farmer” and enjoyed his cows and tractors. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Kelly Renee (Justin) Walters; his son, Kyle Bennett Capps; one sister, Diane (Joe) Bone; three brothers, Phillip (Madie) Capps, David (Tammy) Capps and Mark Capps. 

Visitation will be Friday, April 27th, from 4 to 8 PM Eastern at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Georgetown, KY.  There will be a second visitation on Sunday, April 29th, from 1 until 4 PM Central at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with the funeral service to follow at 4 PM. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Bro. Dennis Morgan, Sr., of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 70.  Born on October 16, 1947, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Brooklyn and Hazel Maupin Morgan.

Bro. Dennis was a minister for more than thirty years and currently ministered Victory Baptist Church in Casey County. He formerly operated Morgan’s Heating and Air. He could be described as a loving father and husband that was very hardworking.

Bro. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Donna Kay May Morgan, whom he wed on June 27, 1970; two daughters, Melissa (David) Weaver of Knoxville, Tennessee and Becky (Steve) Durham of Liberty; and a son, Dennis (Sylvia) Morgan, Jr. of Liberty; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters, Kathy (Donald “Bud”) Mathews, Ruthie (Mike) Sallee and Eva Jo Morgan; and two brothers, James (Debbie) and Steven G. (Sissy) Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey Ray Morgan, Rudy Gerald Morgan and Bobbie G. Morgan.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Chuck Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.

Doris Aliene Rector of Columbia, the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Hazel Emma Campbell Herron, was born Thursday, December 22, 1939 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. She was 79 years, 4 months and 5 days of age.

          She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed reading the Bible and spending time with family and friends and was a homemaker.

          She united in marriage to John Wesley “JW” Rector, who preceded her in death. Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Hunt;  five brothers, Bill Herron, Roy Herron, Larry Herron, Danny Herron and James Robert Herron; and two sisters, Mary Lou Langelier and Shirley O’Banion.

Sandra Kay Murphy Means, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Wesley Manor in Louisville. She was 69.  Born on March 1, 1949, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Sherman Murphy and Edith Edwards Murphy Grimes.

Kay was an accounting clerk. She loved to travel. She was of the Christian faith.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Malisa (Stephen) DiPaola and Nina (Vince) Dotta, both of Louisville; a brother, Roger (Linda) Murphy of London; eight grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) DiPaola, Carly DiPaola, Mason DiPaola, Anthony DiPaola, Alexis Massey, Melanie Dotta, Adriana Dotta and Anthony Dotta; and one great-grandchild, Carson DiPaola.

Leon Franklin, 85, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday April 24th at the Fair Oaks Health Systems.  He was born in Jamestown, KY on December 23, 1932 a son of the late Lora (Brumley) and Dewey Franklin.
