Paul Junior Hale age 60, of Liberty, KY passed away on Monday February 25th, 2019 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Columbia, KY on November 3rd, 1958 a son of the late Cyrus Mack Hale and Ruby Avalene Weddle Hale.

Paul was a gate hauler and a farmer.

 Survivors include: His Spouse: Gwendolyn Sue Wethington Hale, Two Son: Eric Paul Hale and Tyler Nicholas and (Kasey) Hale both of Liberty, Three Grandchildren: Isabella, Camryn and Mason Hale, One Sister: Clara Rose and (Ralph) Brown of Franklin, IN, Three Brothers: Clifton and (Margaret) Hale, CD and (Connie) Hale and Harold Hale all of Liberty and One Uncle: Micah and (Christine) Weddle of Liberty.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was One Brother: Estill Hale.

​John William Glass, 87, of Edmonton, KY passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, February 24, 2019. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Alonzo Thomas Glass and Anna Mary Shockley Glass.

John was a farmer and a former deputy sheriff for Metcalfe County. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army from 1953-1955 and was a member of the Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church. 
 
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Davis Glass; 4 children, Mike (Rhonda) Glass, Tim Glass and Janet (Danny) Reed all of Edmonton and Denise (Mark) Fudge of Columbia, KY; an adopted daughter Runell (Doug) Clemmons of Edmonton; 8 grandchildren Jason (Stephenie) Glass, Kara (John Michael) Morgan, Ashley (Nick) Firkins, Brittany Reed, Aaron (Heather) Glass, Rachel (Codi) Wilson, Nickolas (Natalie) Fudge and Matthew Fudge, 10 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers, Hollis, Larry, Perry, Bernice, Lonnie Ray and Leland Glass; 3 sisters, Carolyn Lyons, Regina Cleary and Ruthene Glass and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Marshall Glass and a daughter-in-law Linda Glass.
 
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 27th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm until 8pm and Wednesday morning until time for the service. Floyd William Siders Sr. age 79 of Edmonton passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton.   Born in Point Pleasant, West Virginia he was the son of the late Floyd and Marie Wears Siders.  

He was a retired riverboat captain.   

He is survived by his wife Bonnie McKinney Siders of Edmonton.    One son Floyd Siders Jr of Edmonton and a daughter Cheryl Schoen of Rhode Island.    Three grandchildren.    Bryan Hall, Chris Schoen and Brett Siders. 

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Johnny Lee Russell of Campbellsville quietly passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Elizabethtown at the Kensington Manor Nursing Home. Born on September 9, 1949 to the late Willis and Ruby (Whited) Russell, he was 69 years, 5 months, and 17 days of age.

Mr. Russell was a former employee of the Stokley-Van Kamp company in Indianapolis. He was a outgoing and friendly man that loved to go dancing or camping, yet he found solace digging ginseng or working in a garden.

He leaves to cherish his memory:
   One son: Tommy Russell and wife Tammy of Campbellsville,
   Two sisters: Sue Woods of Campbellsville, and Frances Bishop of Casey County,
   Two grandchildren: Travis Buckner and Cord Russell,
   Two great-grandchildren,
   And a host of other family and friends.

   Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Russell.

Mr. Russell chose to be cremated. A memorial ride will be scheduled at a later date.

Floyd Darrell Harrison of Campbellsville, son of the late Grover Floyd and Beatrice Louise (Belton) Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Louisville at the Jewish Hospital. Born in Liberty on November 22, 1944, he was 74 years, 3 months, and 4 days of age. Mr. Harrison had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. His reliable and quiet spirit was dearly loved by many, and served him well in his line of work as an automobile detailer. He enjoyed nature’s beauty, and was an avid gun and knife collector, and had served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

   One son and daughter: Darrelyn Underwood and husband Doug, and Chris Harrison and fiancé Leslie Kearney, all of Campbellsville,

Lola Loy Dicken, 60, of Glasgow, died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

She was born November 26, 1958 in Chicago, IL to the late Martin Russell & Maggie Franklin Loy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Dicken in 2013.  She was retired from Dart Container Company.

Tina Lois Conner, 93 of Franklin, IN passed away on Friday in Franklin, IN.
She was born in Jamestown, KY on November 23, 1925 a daughter of the late Rosa (Blankenship) and Otha Bryant Grider.

She is survived by
4 sons Joe, Mitchell, Sammie and Robbie Conner
1 daughter Sabin Conner
1 brother Everett Grider
14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam Conner a son Michael Conner, 5 brothers Claude, John, Roy, Cordell and Robert Grider, 4 sisters Lela Ballenger, Dorothy Green, Edith Grider, and Agnes Kean, 1 granddaughter Ursila Caudill.

Funeral Services will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamstown, KY on Tuesday February 26th 2:00pm with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating.

Kathryn Louise Mann Smothers of Taylor County passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on September 19, 1933 to the late Henry Gilbert and Ethel Levice Minor, she was 85 years, 5 months, and 4 days of age. Mrs. Smothers had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church. She was a woman of love and compassion, and she enjoyed providing a warm and comfortable home to her family. Mrs. Smothers retired from Mannsville School and Taylor County Hospital, where she had been employed as a cafeteria worker. She was married to Henry Mann, who preceded her in death. Later, she was married to Billy Smothers, who survives.

Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory:

   A stepdaughter: Tammy Moore and husband Jim of Cecilia,

   There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Smothers on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Richard Lowe and Bro. John Hall will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mann Cemetery, Taylor County.
   The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb 26, from 10:00 AM  until time for the funeral.

Joyce Burton, 85, of Columbia, Kentucky (the Neatsville community) died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:45 P.M. at her home.

She was born April 21, 1933, in Washington County, to the late Ray and Annie Lou Noe Logsdon, a member of Tabernacle Christian Church and retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Social Services Department.
