Preliminary investigation shows that Sierra Miller was operating a 2008 Chevrolet east bound on KY 80 when she crossed the center line striking a 2012 Lincoln head on operated by and Mary Kearney of Russell Springs who was traveling west. Miller's vehicle then then traveled down an embankment overturned striking a building before coming to rest. Miller who was unrestrained was ejected from her vehicle and had to be airlifted by helicopter to University of KY. Her female infant passenger was restrained and was transported to Russell County Hospital and is in stable condition.
Kearney who was restrained was taken by private vehicle to Russell County Hospital.
The collision was investigated by Chief Deputy Justin Cross. The Sheriffs Office was assisted by Adair County EMS, Russell County EMS, and members of the Columbia Adair County Fire Department.
