(Taylor County, KY July 30, 2018) On July 29th, 2018 at approximately 11:07 PM EST, Trooper Dexter Colvin conducted a routine traffic stop in the limits of Campbellsville on Logan Street. The operator of the vehicle, Stephen Pilkington, age 28 of Campbellsville, had an outstanding warrant against him. Consent to search the vehicle was given resulting in Trooper Colvin locating a stolen laptop in the front floor board. Pilkington was placed under arrest. Once inside the Taylor County Detention Center Pilkington attempted to get rid of a small bag of suspected methamphetamine by throwing it on the floor during booking. Pilkington was charged with the outstanding bench warrant as well as, no tail lamps, failure to wear seat belts, operating on suspended or revoked license, failure to produce insurance card, DUI 2nd offense, Receiving Stolen Property U/$10,000, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
