“As an educator, I know the importance these scores have for our schools,” said Rep. Carney, who also serves on the House Education Committee. “A lot of work has gone into the success of our students, and I want to congratulate them as well as their parents, and the school staffs and administrations for their commitment to seeing our children receive the best education possible.”
According to the Kentucky Department of Education, the number of students graduating from high school and considered college and career-ready continues to increase. Students are also scoring at much higher levels in most grades and subjects since Kentucky launched the assessment and accountability system five years ago.
