The Adair County Sheriffs Office has collected approximately 87 lbs. of prescription medication over the last year in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Agency.
The purpose of the program is to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing or old prescription medicine while educating the public about the potential for abuse of medication.
This year alongside Kentucky State Police Post 15 here in Columbia We collected approximately 205 lbs total.
Last night 10-25-20 at around 10 pm Sheriff Brockman turned over the prescription meds to Kentucky State Police Troopers at post 15 to be transported to a designated drop off point for proper disposal.
