The Blue Raiders shot a team-total 307 to finish behind tournament-winner and second-ranked Dalton State’s (Ga.) 569 (281-288) and Cumberlands’ (Ky.) 606 (295-311). No. 19 Lindsey Wilson concluded the two-day event with a team-total 607 (300-307) at the par-72, 6,954-yard course.
Callum Blinkhorn and Jeremiah Hayes each recorded top-10 finishes in the 92-man event.
Blinkhorn fired a team-best even-par 72 today to post a 145 (73-72) and tie for sixth place. Hayes shot a 2-over par 74 today to end the tournament with a 147 (73-74) and a tie for 10th.
The sixth-place finish is the fourth top-10 of the season for Blinkhorn in as many tournaments. Hayes posts his second top-10 of the fall.
Rasmus Broholt Lind tied for 23rd following a 152 (72-80). Steven McGowan and Cody Mingus finished two strokes apart as McGowan carded a 165 (82-83) to finish tied for 61st while Mingus posted a 167 (86-81) to tie for 66th. Cameron Claunch, competing as an individual at the event, finished tied for 75th with a 172 (82-90).
Dalton State’s S.M. Lee and Chase Cole shared the top spot on the leaderboard with 2-under par 142s.
Today’s tournament concludes the Blue Raiders’ fall schedule. The team continues the rest of its 2017-18 schedule in early spring.
