Tucker has written two history books pertaining to Green County, “History Among Us” and “Osceola, the Town the River Claimed.” A third book, “History of Green County, Kentucky,” should be available soon. And from 1994 until 2015 Tucker wrote, produced, occasionally directed, and acted in 26 plays ranging from religious to historical and historical fiction. The popular “Highway to Heaven” was performed eleven times in five counties, including the Female Penitentiary at Pee Wee Valley, and in Alexander City, Alabama. Subjects of the historical plays included Jane Todd Crawford, and Abraham Lincoln’s “Other Mary,” Mary Owens of Green County.
