The driver, Trevor Alan Johnson, 20, didn’t stop his vehicle when attempted to be pulled over and instead reached speeds of 117 mph in a short pursuit.
The pursuit went approximately three miles before Johnson finally pulled over. After he was in custody, deputies searched his vehicle and found marijuana, according to reports.
Johnson was charged with fleeing or evading police,operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, wanton endangerment first degree (police officer) as well as other traffic violations and marijuana charges. He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center by Deputy Sheriff Nathan Ginn.
