Seniors Tony Brackins and Allen Cooks are among the 26-man team.
Brackins is one of four defensive backs on the CFA squad while Cooks is the lone punt returner on the team.
Brackins recorded 88 tackles and three interceptions in 13 games last season for the Blue Raiders. He earned all Mid-South Conference West Division first team honors following the 2016 regular season.
Cooks averaged 12.8 yards per punt return last season in 32 attempts. He added 60 receptions for 649 yards on offense while averaging 21.2 yards per kickoff return. Cooks joined Brackins on the West Division first team last season.
Cooks is one of three players that were also on the 2016 preseason team.
Lindsey Wilson is one of three programs to place a pair of players on the preseason squad. Only defending national champion Saint Francis (Ind.) and runner-up Baker (Kan.) produced more. Baker has four representatives on the team while Saint Francis has three.
Seven players from the Mid-South Conference were named to the CFA Starting Lineup. Joining Brackins and Cooks on the team are Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Bradley Bates, Kentucky Christian’s Emmett Keyes, Reinhardt’s (Ga.) Xavier Carter and Warner’s (Fla.) Drew Clark and Dajshon Oliver.
Lindsey Wilson opens the 2017 season at 1:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, August 26, against St. Andrews (N.C.) at Blue Raider Stadium.
