On October 27, 2017 the Adair County 911 Center received a call of multiple subjects with guns in a yard on Old Pellyton East Road in Columbia Kentucky. Sheriff Harrison Moss, Deputy Justin Cross, Chief Deputy Aaron Rainwater and Kentucky State Trooper's from surrounding counties responded to the call. Upon arrival a male subject was located at a neighboring resident, advising that he had been shot at and was able to flee to safety at a nearby residence. Once at the scene of the incident at 701 Old Pellyton East Road, a firearm was located outside the residence and evidence that lead Deputies to believe it had been discharged.
A search warrant was obtained for the property where a large amount of methamphetamines, pills and marijuana was seized. Also seized were numerous hand guns along with numerous shotguns and rifles.
Benjamin Shroyer age 38 of Columbia was arrested on active warrants, Jeffrey Bryant age 34 of Columbia was arrested on charges of Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, burglary 3rd degree, trafficking in a controlled substance methamphetamines and trafficking in marijuana less than five pounds. Kenny Webb II was also arrested on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamines and trafficking in marijuana less than five pounds. All three were lodged in the Adair County Jail. Deputy Justin Cross is investigating the case. More charges are likely pending.
